Lloyd hotel & Cultural Embassy

The Lloyd hotel’s Cultural Embassy is specialised in arranging showings and presentations of Dutch culture and the culture of guests. These events take place throughout the building and can mostly be visited free of charge. Thus links are created between guests and art and artists in Amsterdam.

Makkink & Bey

Studio Makkink & Bey is led by architect Rianne Makkink and designer Jurgen Bey. Supported by a design team, they have been operating their design practice since 2002. Studio Makkink & Bey investigates the various domains of applied art while studying the tension between the private and public domain. Taking a critical stance towards the designing of public space, architecture, interiors, exhibitions and products is pivotal.

De Kunsthal

The Kunsthal Rotterdam stages some 25 exhibitions a year. The Kunsthal presents culture in the widest sense of the word: old art, new art, design, photography - from elitist to popular. The Kunsthal frequently experiments with themes which in many cases provide the first impulse for an exhibition. This approach has resulted in an exciting and varied exhibition repertoire highlighting Impressionism, lingerie, Leonardo da Vinci, Blackfoot Indians, Jewels of the Orient, Pop-art.

Atelier NL

After their graduation from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2006 Nadine Sterk and Lonny van Ryswyck started Atelier NL. They now live and work in the church 4 Apostelen in Eindhoven. Nadine’s work is a fusion of the natural, the technical and the emotional world. She finds in nature’s functions, and solutions an endless wealth of ideas. Translating her inspiration into versatile and feasible designs, she is able to produce objects that fascinate both the mind and the soul.

Viver Design

The project KM • M • MM - VIVER DESIGN EM SP (Kilometre, Metre and Millimetre: Living Design in São Paulo) took place for the first time in November 2008, in various places in the city, with the presentation of seminars and exhibitions. It was an initiative of the International Department of the Municipal Government of São Paulo whose objective was to develop the potential of the creative industries of São Paulo and to put the city in the international limelight as a supplier of innovative products and services, transforming it into a design centre in Latin America.
