IPÊ (Ecological Research Institute) is legally recognized as an OSCIP – Organização Social de Interesse Público (Civil Society Organization in the Public Interest). This qualification, per se, guarantees access to public funds. One of the institute’s objectives is to conserve biodiversity, respecting the traditions of the communities which surround the areas that need to be protected and where its research is carried out.

The Maré Museum is a museum in the community Maré (Rio de Janeiro) which preserves and disseminates the community history.

It houses archives, exhibitions and organises activities related to cultural education and research.

Created in 2003 P/A Profashional Pesquisa e Consultoria works making research and lectures for companies, educational institutions, professionals and students of the fashion sector, promoting training sessions, seminars, personalized courses, courses in academic research, consultancy to develop collections and also organize cultural journeys abroad with a fashion focus. It counts with a wide book and fashion movies section where is possible for students and professionals to make researches and projects.

This association of Higher Level Design Education and Research Association of Brazil (Aend) gathers the design teachers of Brazil.
