For more than five hundred years, Brazilian literature has been considered part of Portuguese culture. Therefore, Brazilian literature has always been seen in relation to literary movements in Europe. 

This mapping will provide an overview of the history of Brazilian literature. Furthermore, it will provide information on the current literature market, important events and awards, publishers and the cultural exchange with the Netherlands.
